Courage to create

Already in 1975 Rollo May wrote the classic "Courage to create", one of my bibles since 15 years back in time. It´s a fascinating book that still gives me new insights. Rollo May claims there´s a strong connection between courage and creativity, that everybody that is creative needs to overcome their fear of failing and that every creative act is an act of great bravery. But why do we have to struggle to be creative? Why does it have to be so hard? Without a struggle, there is no flow, and without flow, there is no desire to create.
