The worth of creative workers
I have often wondered how businesses can work for employing and keeping creative workers, to get the most value out of it. This article, Written by Richard Florida, says something about what that kind of employees can be worth for the companies and the world ecomony. http://www.citylab.com/work/2013/09/real-reason-creative-workers-are-good-economy/6804/ The Real Reason Creative Workers Are Good for the Economy A new study shows that creative class workers spur innovation, no m

Music that makes me creative
While I was driving home from a Christmas party yesterday I listened to the radio and heard Dorisburg for the first time (maybe I´m a late bloomer when it comes to music, but still....) And It was like magic. Today I painted to the music from Dorisburgs´album "Irrbloss", and it felt so suggestive and interesting, that I got in a creative mood right away. I hope there will be many more albums from this artist in the years to come.

The perfect picture
This is one of my favorite pictures. Frankenthaler. Just an abstract picture. Simple and yet so complicated. I wish I can accomplish something that gives the same feeling, some day.

A hole in a brick wall...
I found this oldie in the closet and am not quite ready to paint it over yet. It was made a late evening after I´d seen a hole in the brick wall on the other side of my studio at Fabriksgatan. The house is wrecked now and I no longer have the studio. So it´s nostalgic.... Sometimes art is just something personal that nobody else need to understand.

Association loop while on the treadmill
I try to go to the gym every other day. Walking on the treadmill for 15 minutes to start with.. And also it makes time tick, and keeps the boredom away.

This was some of the questions that popped up when I was watching a documentary about Steve Jobs last night. Types of creative persons Historically, there have been many attempts to classify creative behaviour and creative persons. Rank (1932/1968) wrote about three types of persons typifying the three stages in the development of creative personality: 1) the a

Time for christmas greetings
And so, It´s time for me to send a christmas card, to whoever is reading this. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Stay creative
Many of my colleagues sometimes experience creative block, often due to the fact that they have to make money out of their creativity, and that is something that I also can relate to. There are lots of articles written about it, and this is one, that I think is quite down to earth, containing some useful exercises. http://lifehacker.com/5940145/why-creativity-blocks-happen-and-how-to-overcome-them A powerful tactic to overcome this (creative block: my remark) is taking a proj

Composition part II
And the same composition but more subtle....I think i like it more this way.... I thin k I´m gonna try to paint it tomorrow. It´ll sure be a challenge to tyr to imitate the sketches in black and white inside the shapes....
